The Parish Plan

The Parish Council has worked in partnership with Neighbourhood Initiatives Foundation to formulate a Parish Plan.  This was done so that we could find out exactly what you, the residents living and working within the parish, want within the community.

What is a Parish Plan?

It is a method by which members of the public are consulted and are given the chance to have a greater say in their own affairs and the future of the area.  The Plan can cover anything that is relevant to everyone who lives or works in the parish.

What issues does the Parish Plan cover?

Social housing, leisure and recreational facilities, Community Centres, play areas, traffic problems, local mining, transport issues, crime, environmental maintenance and anything that you think is important and needs to be addressed.

Because the parish is in a process of development we want you to have your say.  The results of the project will be considered in the Local Development Framework which is currently being developed by the Borough of Telford & Wrekin.  English Partnerships has developed an area development framework for the entire Lawley area which will update original proposals that were approved under the New Towns Act.  The Parish Plan has been considered by English Partnerships in the Lawley Development Framework.
